The majority of clients find they are very comfortable during the procedure. For the ladies – your menstrual cycle can sometimes affect your sensitivity and if you visit around that ‘time of the month’ you may find it a little more uncomfortable than if you avoid that time. Most clients find it a little uncomfortable around the Orbicularis oculi muscle (the one that surrounds our eyes). Having Botox is a very quick treatment once the medical consultation is complete, the procedure itself only takes a few minutes! (Don’t worry we will make sure you don’t have to wait long)

Ok so, we’re not going to lie! They can hurt a little! Some clients find the procedure absolutely fine and some clients….well, they don’t. We use a strong numbing cream and this applied 10 minutes before your procedure whilst we do your medical assessment and your consultation. The procedure is over with in around 4-5 minutes so it really doesn’t take that long. We always do what we need to with our client’s whether it be slow down, have a break or just be quiet and let them close their eyes! Some clients ask not to see the needle during the procedure and that’s fine too! We always take the time to listen to each clients needs and requests individually and adapt to ensure client comfort.

Botox usually lasts around 3 months, clients who have had botox consistently over a period of time can go a little longer between sessions! Some clients can even return after 5-6 months!

There are different factors that depend on how long the fillers will last. For the first 1-3 times the filler can tend to go a little quicker as you are building the foundation – once you have built a good foundation, the filler can last as long as up to a year! All appointments are inclusive of a consultation where you can ask all the questions you may have – also if you are not sure how much filler to have, we recommend starting with 1ml – however if you book 0.5ml and decide to change your mind at the appointment then that’s fine too!

1ml is recommended for your first time, this will help you get on your way with a good foundation and prevent the need for more treatments in the future which will cost more. Clients who prefer to build slowly sometimes feel more comfortable having 0.5ml for the first time and then a 1ml top up a couple of months later. Ultimately, it is your choice how much you decide to have, we are happy to help either way. If you choose to have 0.5ml for the appointment and then decide to go for 1ml on the day – that’s absolutely fine and we are happy to accommodate you. Once you are at your desired look around 2-3 top ups per year are required to maintain.

As with any cosmetic procedure, there are of course risks. However, if the filler being used is from a reputable clinic/supplier and a genuine product is administered the correct way in a clean and clinical environment then the risks are minimal. The most common contra-indication from lip fillers is swelling and bruising. All these things can be explained to you during a no-obligation consultation or will be explained during your consultation prior to your procedure.

Although we can order any filler a client requests (prices will change accordingly) the primary product we use is Revolax. Revolax is South Koreas number 1 dermal filler and has been predicted by Americas top selling business magazine ‘Forbes’ to storm the UK market in 2018 – which seems to be exactly what is happening!

Yes – as long as you have waited 4 weeks post previous treatment.

Lumps can be very normal post procedure and can be there for a number of different reasons. Lumps can be present for around 4 weeks post treatment. Leave it around 3 days and if you notice any little lumps you can gently massage them for 5 minutes a couple of times a day. If you have any concerns post procedure you can contact your practitioner and request a consultation. If the practitioner is us, we will always prioritise our clients who have concerns and do everything we can to speak to you right away and reassure you.

Yes – we are trained and insured to dissolve lumps should we need to. We have done a number of correction jobs where previous practitioners have placed the filler incorrectly and we have had to dissolve and re-build the lips again.
